Members

COEASU is open to all academic staff in the employment of a College of Education in Nigeria. No person is deprived of membership of the Union on grounds of gender, religion, political affiliation, or ethnic background. A prospective member obtains, complete and duly submits a membership registration form. This is in respect of individual academic staff membership.

It is also required of any college of education, public or private, that may be interested in being a member to formally notify the National Secretariat by obtaining and duly completing a corporate membership form to the effect. Colleges of education that are members make up the chapters of the Union. As at January, 2017, membership stood at sixty-one (61) chapters, or colleges of education. Of this, twenty-one are Federal Colleges of Education while forty are colleges of education established by various state governments.
