To organize all the academic staff members of the Colleges of Education in Nigeria.

To coordinate and regulate the relationship between academic staff and the employers on one hand and among members of the Union on the other hand.

To ensure the enhancement of high standard of performance and professional practice.

To ensure the enhancement of just and proper condition of service for its members.

To encourage members of The Union to participate in lawful affairs of the colleges, their community and the nation.

To engage in other lawful objects that are not inconsistent with the rules, practice, and aspirations of trade unionism in Nigeria and globally.

To ensure the enhancement of the social and economic well-being of members.
